I love research and analysis just due to my profession! If anyone doesn't know, the author of the blog is a business analyst ;) And of course I especially love researches related to gymnastics, leotards, etc.

Starting from this post we will explore the fashion trends of 2023. Although the competition year is only halfway through, new leotards trends in rhythmic gymnastics have already clearly formed during the spring, and already familiar trends from past seasons have taken root.

Leotards with thin straps or an imitation of them over skin-colored mesh became quite a "hot" trend. This trend scared us as creators of the leotards at first. The big question was the usability and comfort of the thin straps... but it was worth of trying and it can be decisively stated that well-designed and properly done thin straps are a stable and beautiful solution for the rhythmic gymnastics leotards in 2023.

Here are a few examples of leotards where thin straps are used.

Monochrome, i.e. single-color, has clearly emerged as another trend. Many leotards are made completely in one color and decorated with rhinestones of either the same color, transparent or another color rhinestones.

Let's move on to the next trend, which is minimalism. In recent times, we often see completely undecorated or slightly decorated leotards, with a clear emphasis on simplicity, i.e. minimalism. The basic fabric can be lycra, velvet or even a hologram, which brings its own sparkle substituting rhinestones.

As the opposite of minimalism, interesting color combinations and complex patterns can be seen in many leotards.

Neon-colored rhinestones on a black fabric are clearly favorites.

Clearly geometric patterns in leotards are still popular.
